Refund policy

Scope

This policy applies to fees and retainers for financial auditing and review engagements with Kisetsu Review Advisory. It does not cover products, subscriptions, or physical goods — we do not sell those.

Eligibility

Refunds are considered when an engagement is cancelled before substantive fieldwork begins, or when we are unable to deliver the agreed review report for reasons attributable to us. Fee estimates that were never accepted are not charged and need no refund.

Timeframe

Cancellation requests should be sent in writing to hello@algodigital.digital at least ten business days before the scheduled fieldwork start date stated in the engagement letter.

Full and partial refunds

If you cancel ten or more business days before fieldwork and we have not begun substantive testing, the retainer is refunded in full minus a ¥50,000 administrative charge. Cancellations inside ten business days forfeit the retainer; work already performed is billed at the day rate and deducted from any remaining prepaid balance, with the surplus refunded if any.

Non-refundable items

• Fees for completed review reports and findings memos already delivered
• Travel costs already incurred for inventory observation or multi-site visits
• Translation fees for packs already commissioned at your request
• Administrative charge noted above on late-cancelled retainers

Work already started

Once walkthroughs or substantive testing have begun, fees for hours incurred are payable. Unused prepaid amounts after those deductions may be refunded or credited toward a rescheduled period by agreement.

Deposits and retainers

The 30% retainer secures the fieldwork window. It is applied to the final invoice on delivery of the draft report.

Rescheduling

One reschedule of the fieldwork window, requested ten or more business days in advance and subject to our capacity, is permitted without forfeit. Further reschedules may require a new retainer.

No-shows

If key client personnel are unavailable for agreed walkthroughs or inventory counts without notice, we may charge the reserved day rate and rebook subject to availability.

Refund process and method

Approved refunds are processed within twenty business days to the original bank account used for payment. Contact refund requests to hello@algodigital.digital or +81-1-855-7006, referencing the engagement letter date and entity name.

Exceptions

Statutory cooling-off rights, where they apply under Japanese law to consumers, are honoured. Professional standards may require retention of certain files even when fees are refunded; confidentiality continues.
